Harriet Tubman came through Jamie and spoke to slient crowd about the Surviving the Fear of Change.
(Harriet’s speech was long so I decided to remove some of her stories. Sorry the newsletter is still long but I hope to have the recording on the web site if you wish to down load it and listen to the full channeling. She began by speaking about herself.)
I don’t want this to be all about me, speaking and talking. I was born in VA. My mama named me Araminta Ross. They called me “Minty”. I was not the kindest of child. I was stubborn and had my way. My mama worked for a family, indoors, in the house. I had worked outside. There were days that wouldn’t end and nights where you did not know if the sun would come back for you. That is how I was raised.
Fear took the place of what I thought love would be. You fought every day for your life. At five, I had to raise my baby brother because my mama was busy in the house. I worked and did anything that the family told me to do and I hated it and let them know I hated it. I was a young a woman when I decided to leave. You was not supposed to leave. You was a blacked person and you were owned. That is the way it was. You had no rights, you had a name but you had no paper to your name. Your family history was told by stories and not by pictures. It was my grandmamma who came across on the boat. She was the one taken from her tribe. And we was the ones born from it. I believe you know my mama’s name more than mine. Her name was Harriet. I was born in 1820. My mama was fierce. She threatened to bite our master if he sold my baby brother. If you wonder where my fighting came from I guess I
got it from my mama.
(removed: Harriet then talked about a story of her being hit with a weight on her head.)
I ran away to the north and I dedicated my life to saving others. I don’t know how many I helped but by then I was an older black woman over weight. I smiled and I knew my manners and I knew how to get around things. Because when you want something bad enough you will find a way and I am sure your heart knows what I am talking about. I am sure you have been there.
(removed: Harriet then discussed the underground railroad and how it worked.)
Saving starts small in places like this.
Saving. Sometimes it is the segregation that creates an evolution. And I believe what you will find that there is a segregation happening now in your nation but it is not about status. It is not about the money. No. It is about belief. Not about belief in God or Jesus. It is about the belief in helping each other even if you are strangers. It is about a belief in your ego, are you single minded or are you in it for all? That is what it is about. Now I wanted to come by (tonight) to let you know how we did things, and we started small and if each and every one of you started small you’ll find a new found connection in your neighbors and people you did not know, so when hard times fall upon you, and I pray they don’t but if they do you’ins would be able to help each other. So am asking you tonight, to take into your heart an idea.
To find five families that are close to you (proximity) and gather with them and pose these questions: “What if the comforts we know disappear? What would we do? How would we hold each other? How would we protect each other? What do we know as survival?” Because if you know the plan for it there will not be a strong wind to knock you down. It will be a breeze you can stand in. You will have your five families around you to protect you. Your nation, our nation, as I have seen it from great change is built on a lot of words nobody needs and nobody takes to heart. And there is a lot of fear about it, a fear of what will happen and how you will be protected and where your money will go. I will tell you one thing you can survive on nothing. And here is the one way to do it.
Remember what materials are. You do not need an attachment to materials. Do not fear about loosing a car, house or a blanket. You are human and you can survive I know it. I know it to be true. Do not allow your ego to hold fast to materialist things so if it comes time for you to let go, you will be able to walk away. You would not have your heart broken you would not have your arms full of things, plates, photos, and memorabilia. What your arms should be full of is the next person or pet.
Learn from your self what you rely on others to tell you. You learn to garden, you learn to feed yourself. The worst thing I have found in this nation is that the stories have stopped being told. I never went to school. I was taught by experience and story all I know. I learned everything from my mama, and grandmamma, even how to ring a chicken’s neck.
I see now that all you rely on books or computer to give you the how to’s. I want you to stop and think of how many how to’s you do not know. Because I guarantee you will find yourself in a predicament of not having it (book/computer) to tell ya. And what you going to do? You gonna stand there? I say learn it now. Take the classes you want to. And what you know you can tell (teach) to someone else.
When this governments starts to crack and fall apart there will be many people full of fear. And they will do the extreme of what you will do in this room (people of a spiritual mind). They will find their guns, loud voices, and do pushing and shoving. People now in days get irritated just waiting in line for more than 10 minutes. There is a lack of patience and there is a greed for the “now” that does not exist anymore. When you find yourself with these kinds of people. Don’t you argue with them because that is just feeding them, feeding them anger. You tell them you understand and you get behind them. Don’t you stand in their way. Your life is not worth it. Now not all of you will find yourself in that position. But it will be happening in this country and I am not saying you need to be leaving the city and running away. You are in this place for a reason
because you can handle it. God put me in the place I grew up in because I could handle it and I know that to be true. Because it is not the life I would have chosen but I survived it. This is a sobering topic. Don’t you let this get the best of you. You will find your railroad. You will do the work with a smile on your face. Parched from happiness.
The best way to over come your fears is to talk about how you feel, not about what you want but about how you feel. Go for what pulls on your soul. That is what should drive you every day. Have stronger speaking voices, stand tall and speak how you feel. Our country is good about manipulating and redirecting the path you want to create for your self. They feel they need to shape it for us. Abide by the rules of your heart.
In the end you will be one. And it will take the fault of a nation to get there which saddens me so. So begins your segregation. You will be fine. This not a war you can fight, this is a war where you have to love. That is going to be the hardest things to learn because you will have to love the people you hate. The children born to you these days are naturally this way.
I thank you kindly for treating me with such respect and thank you for letting me share what I felt was important. It is late and the sounds of the frogs and crickets have declined. Take care. This is not as bad as you thick it to be.
